This pattern will allow you to make panels for a zigzag Afghan without having to short row or wrap needles. It is all done automatically! You want the holes that it creates .... do not do any wrapping. You only need to move your carriage back and forth. . . . . . 3 - 4 strands of 2/24 or 4-ply sayelle in 3 colors (20 oz. of each color) . . . . . . . . best to select either 3 muted tones or 3 bright colors . . . . . Finished size, approximately 50" by 75" . . . . . Tension 10 on a standard bed machine; any guage will do . . . . . Download pattern to your machine (20s X 157r). . . set it to knit single motif, . . . . . selector 2 . . . . . Crochet cast on 20 stitches, 10 on either side of 0 . . . . . With carriage on the right and KCII engaged, move across needle bed from . . . . . right to left. PRESS BOTH PART BUTTONS IN and knit to row 1099. . . . . . Knit nine panels in all . . . . . Gently pull your work downward so that it does not pull on the needle bed . . . . . To make the Afghan larger, add more rows and/or more panels . . . . . Block each completed panel, and either sew or crochet them together |
